This edition - 9th of July 2020
Hello to the July issue of my newsletter. This month the subject is the Covid-19 virus and martial art schools reopening again.
These last few months have been more than strange, to say the least, with a world wide lockdown to stop what was first called the Coronavirus.
With thousands of people dying from it, all over the world, martial art schools, just like every other business and public service, had to close down during these last few months to prevent the spread of the virus, and although the virus is still around and maybe for a long time to come, restrictions at long last are now lifted to a degree and martial art classes are once again starting to open up.
Is it safe to do that? At the time of writing this newsletter no one really knows as yet. The real big question however is - what if a student, or even the instructor, gets the virus? They may not get infected while attending classes but they could get it from someone else before coming into class? And of course martial art classes cannot provide insurance cover due to that situation, or for a number of other reasons, so a bit of common sense is needed when attending class.
On a final note don’t attend if you feel unwell. You may survive the virus, if you get it, but if you pass it on to someone else they may not be so lucky.
Stay safe and I hope you visit this page again soon. Bye for now.
