Banging out words of wisdom is something anyone with a bit of flair and imagination can do. For example – ‘Thou Shalt Not Kill’ is the religious way of saying do not kill anyone. ‘To Take A Life Is The Path To Sorrow’. The words of wisdom way of saying the very same thing.
Both are instructional words and both are telling you what to do because chances are many who read such words cannot work that one out for themselves without someone telling them what to do on that, and many other subjects, as they go through life. This morning, being a Sunday, and a so-called day of rest I thought I would treat myself and spend an extra couple of hours in bed and catch up on my much needed rest and sleep but I made the mistake of leaving my Laptop at the side of the bed the night before. Upon waking up early, I thought I would pick it up and just check to see if there were any messages for me and then go back to sleep. A mistake for sure as I found myself getting out of bed and making myself a Coffee and then sitting down to reply to such messages. So much for an extra couple of hours in bed and having a much needed rest and that extra bit of sleep. So how would that experience be passed on to others I found myself thinking rather than write a book about it? Using a religious format I found myself saying – ‘He Who Seeks Knowledge Is Forever Damned To Sleep No More’. In words of wisdom format – ‘He Who Seeks Others Words Will Be Forever Following The Path Of Sorrow’. Well fine – maybe not the best words of enlightenment I could come up with but I am sure you get my drift? In any event all of these sayings are instructional in content and ergo they are all words that tell you what to do. Anyone with a basic skill at writing can bang out words of wisdom and thanks to the internet, even those who cannot write such things, or have no clue at all as to the meaning of such things, can simply click on a button and share such stuff to others. As with any religious book, or words of so-called wisdom, such things are often contradictory most of the time. For example – ‘Never Leave Behind Those Who Need Your Help’. ‘Move On And Leave Behind Those Who Would Drag You Down’. Which words of wisdom should I follow, I ask? If you need a book or words of wisdom to tell you what to do, or not to do, then maybe you should ask yourself why you cannot do these things for yourself as you go through life without being guided or told what to do by others all the time? As for leaving my Laptop next to the bed – well I have no wisdom so I will do it again. ‘Do Not Look At The Sky Or The Mountain Will Tremble’ is a words of wisdom thing that I did back in July 2011 which resulted in people thinking it was written in the Bible, or by some ancient old wise man, thousands of years ago. How easy it is to bang out so-called words of wisdom – and fool many people? Comments are closed.
